Maria Isabela Galeria, the coronavirus survivor finally withdrawn her candidacy from the 2020 Miss Universe Philippines competition. Maria Isabela is representing Sorsogon in Miss Universe Philippines which will be happened October 25, 2020 and can be viewed live on GMA 7. She shared on her Instagram, the motivation behind why she choose to pull back on the competition while expressing gratitude toward each and every one of her supporters who are praying for her condition. As she said that she is positive to the COVID19.
Luckily, it was tolerable and she did not experience hard on breathing. At that point she began occurring of rashes with irritation and dry skin. She added on her Instagram, that on October 3, 2020 as she woke up with redness and watery eyes she undergo medication for almost 14 days to manage the symptoms. According to Isabela, she has the 14 day quarantined and she was to release on October 8, 2020. She included that she was cleared again by the doctors in COVID-19 as well as her father who also tested positive for the infection a week ago. But she said, her body is not in good condition to continue the pageant.
Surprisingly, she and her Dad is not showing some other symptoms anymore. Then last October 11, 2020 the DOH announced that they are both COVID survivors, she shared it on her Instagram post. She appreciate everyone who supports and pray for her wellness to fight this battle of her. Even with a solid fight to battle, her body is not in good condition. With crushing sadness, she accept now it isn’t the perfect opportunity to join the event. She said that she is actually feel tired, and she can’t participate in any activities of their pageant because she feels tired and her body is not working well.
She is praying for herself every night with teary eyes thinking many times about her decision but still her body is not participating in all her actions. Isabela included, that is she is asking the most understanding of her supporters with her decision.
