Christine Reyes gets a warm welcome on Eat Bulaga’s ‘Bawal Judgemental’ after 12 years. The actress was first discovered on GMA’s talent search show, “Starstruck: Season 1” which became her stepping stone to her career as an actress, endorser, and model.
However, in 2008 she transfered to ABS-CBN and her career managed under Viva Films.
It’s not unordinary when artists switch networks as everyone would naturally choose where they could work comfortably.
Now after more than a decade, the actress is back in the Kapuso network. She had already appeared as a guest judge in “Bawal Judgemen tal” last July 18.
Due to ABS-CBN’s unfortunate circumstances, it’s no wonder why their talents had to switch networks. A lot of them were left jobless and had to leave their agencies to continue in their careers.
Christine was not the only Kapamilya star who had to switch networks. Among others are Pokwang, Meg Imperial and Louise Delos Reyes who also appeared on the show as their first exposure as a Kapuso artist.
Looking back, the actress had truly grown in her career during her stay in ABS-CBN. Some of her notable roles was being the legal wife in the movie, “No Other Woman”, together with Derrek Ramsey – who played as Christine’s Husband – and Anne Curtis – who played the role of Derek’s mistress. The movie was recorded to be the second highest grossing film on its release.
She played her role exceptionally well in her latest teleserye, “Tubig at Langis” as the legal wife of Natoy (Zanjoe Marudo).
The actress even a short snippet on her Instagram of her being in the Eat Bulaga Studio. Fans and netizens were so surprised and was glad the actress is back in showbiz. Christine had recently struggled with her separation to husband, Ali Khatibi.
She claims their split was on “civil” terms and they are doing a great job at co-parenting their daughter, Amarah. The post garned 75k likes as of writing.
